Crazy Christmas Knitting
I happened to catch Knitty Gritty on DIY this last week. Stitchy McYarnpants was the guest and the show was called Kitchy Christmas. I was caught up in the excitement of the show and decided to make something for the gift exchange at Dave’s family’s Christmas celebration. I decided to make the Tissue Box Turtleneck with some stash yarn. This is my first stranded colorwork project and it was kind of a pain. It didn’t follow the “rule” of using only two colors at a time. Dave thinks it is beautiful which sort of ruins the whole kitchy thing I was going for, but oh well.

Mine also ended up with a “skirt” even though I used smaller needles for the bottom ribbing. This was also the first time I have had the pleasure of using Addi Turbo needles. There is no comparison to other metal needles! I love them.
The other project I am working on is a stack of dishcloths, also for the gift exchange. I am doing the ballband dishcloth that I have previously mentioned with yarn from my stash. I have a ton of left overs from the miter rug I did earlier.

I’m also working on a secret project that I will be posting on very soon.
I’ll leave you with crazy pictures of my cat since no knitting blog is complete without them. (yes her tummy is shaved - we have helped control the pet population)

Until next time ~Merry Christmas Knitting!!

Yes, I’m sorry to agree with Dave that it’s not nearly as ugly as I was anticipating.
