Happy New Year
We made it back from our trip to Montana for Christmas safe and mostly sound. Davy did a header on the slopes at Bridger Bowl and is now having a bit of pain in his neck. Motrin is his friend right now.
The presents that I knit were a big hit. The tissue box turtleneck didn’t go over as well as I thought. I don’t think people figured out it was hand knit. Oh well. My mother-in-law loved her shawl and my niece loved her hat.
I also got my niece started Knifty Knitting by buying her the kit when I drew her name for Christmas. She wanted me to teach her to knit but doesn’t have the patience for it. This was the perfect alternative and is what got me into knitting in the first place. I will post pictures as I can when I get them from her.
I had time to get to a local yarn shop in Bozeman called Stix and I hope to make many more trips there in the future! I bought a few goodies but didn’t have the time or money I would have liked. I got the cutest sweater pattern for my first adventure in intarsia.
I have been working diligently on Davy’s present and hope to have it done by my birthday. That might be a little optimistic, but we will see.

That is all for now. Until next time ~Happy Knitting!
