Progress and Mistakes

I sat down tonight and knit another square for my miter rug. I feel good knowing that I only have two more squares to go. Here is the updated picture.

Now for the tragedy. I pulled out my socks that I have been working on since before Christmas and was so happy about the progress I was making. I tried on the finished sock to see how the other one compared when I noticed this:

Do you see what I see? I dropped a stitch in the leg of the sock. On a lace pattern no less. What do I do with this??? Help if you can.

I’m going to try to get some sleep…
