Unfinished Projects
This is my first post to my new blog. I’m excited about being able to talk about what I’m working on, when things are done and how the project went.
Last night I decided to take pictures of my works in progress and I was dismayed to see that I have FOUR knitting projects on needles. That is terrible for me. I usually only let myself have TWO at the most. Hopefully now that I’m blogging on my knitting, it will keep me focused to get these jobs done.
Here are the projects I’m currently working on:
Bells and Whistles Socks from the Holiday Gifts issue of Interweave Knits. I love these socks but I got really confused while knitting the heel flap and I think that discouraged me from doing sock #2. I started these before Christmas.
Log Cabin Baby Blanket. This pattern can be found in various forms here. I am trying to decide how big to make it and whether or not to put a backing on it. The yarn is Jo-Ann Sensations Bellezza Collection Tesoro. I also wish I had used brighter colors and more of them, but oh well.
The Argosy Dishcloth pattern found here by Vyvyan. I had thought about doing the shawl pattern but wanted to see how I did with a smaller project. This is a fun project but frankly it got stuck in my craft closet and I forgot about it.
The last project is a mitered square rug that I took for a travel project while visiting my in-laws in Albuquerque. The pattern can be found here. The yarn is Sugar n’ Cream and obviously in very different colors than called for in the pattern. I also started going freestyle after about half of it and hopefully it will look ok. It is an easy project but I didn’t swatch and wasn’t thinking when I went up a needle size. I usually go down a size because I am a loose knitter. So, this rug is BIG…
Well there is the low-down on what I’m working on (or not as the case may be). I have a few minutes now I think I’ll go knit.
