What I Like and Dislike About Crochet

As promised, I am ready to write what I like and dislike about crochet. I haven’t done any knitting for the last week or so and am ready to get back at it.

Likes:

Crochet is fast. I knit a small afghan in a little over a week.
Frogging isn’t nearly as difficult. You only have one loop to find instead of a row.
There is no binding off. You are doing that as you go along.
There are some pretty cute patterns out there.

Dislikes:

I’m not crazy about how it looks. It reminds me of stuff my grandmothers had lying around.
It takes a lot more yarn to make something similar in size.
Some knitters will make you feel like you are involved in some sort of underworld activity.

As you can see, there are more likes than dislikes. As a result, I will continue to crochet although not as much as I knit.
